The Ten Tenths Approach

The 10 tenths approach is derived from motorsport and when applied in an organisational context means individuals and teams operating at their full potential, to drive sustained performance.In motorsport, operating at ten tenths means extracting 100% of theoretical potential; flat out, but not over the edge. Go beyond this limit and performance - be that car, driver or team will start to degrade.Most leaders and teams confuse full effort with unsustainable workloads. This causes them to operate at a level of performance beyond their safe limits, and this leads to an inevitable outcome - staff experiencing burnout, processes failing and delivery collapsing.This approach helps individuals, teams, and whole organisations find and operate at their genuine 10 tenths: consistently, safely, and without risk of over performance and the issues that brings.

About

Throughout my 25+ year career I have often been tasked with supporting leaders, teams and organisations to deliver sustainable change, across a variety of sectors.At the heart of my approach sit two areas of expertise. Executive coaching - to help leaders operate at their peak, and organisational development - to help teams and organisations to find the best way of working together.I bring over 20 years of coaching experience, underpinned by an Institute of Leadership and Management L7 Postgraduate Diploma in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, as well as being an accredited action learning set facilitator, and advanced OD practitioner.In addition I also have experience and accreditation in programme and portfolio management, and helped to lead one of the largest public sector change programmes in the UK.I use my experience of Programme Delivery and expertise in Organisational Development to help leaders and their teams the support and challenge they need to realise their potential.
